Diane Dumdei has lived in Sioux Falls
for all her life. Her artistic studies have included drawing, design and
printmaking at Augustana College, stained glasswork and wheel thrown
pottery.
She
became interested in Precious Metal Clay (PMC) — a unique material
developed in Japan in the early 1990’s that allows artists to create
objects of 99.9% solid silver or gold. Making jewelry in PMC has since
become her passion. Diane has been a member of the PMC Guild since 2005.
Her
designs are inspired by world travels, from Etruscan artifacts in Italy to
Mayan art.
“I’m having great fun
with color, texture mixed in the sculpture and semi-precious jewels!”
